Every so often we like to turn the spotlight onto an individual who is flying the flag for us here at DeskLodge. This time, we playfully nudge Jamie Mackay from Enterprise forward into the light…
Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is a business led partnership, bringing together private, public and not-for-profit sector organisations to determine local economic priorities and undertake activities which drive economic growth and productivity through innovation, job creation, improved infrastructure and increased workforce skills within our area.
The LEP moved into DeskLodge in 2019 when I also joined the organisation.
We would struggle to make a difference if we weren’t able to bring people together and agree action. Working on the local skills agenda, I really enjoy bringing people together to identify skills challenges and agreeing what needs to be done.
The uniqueness of the space and all the little details. Sometimes when I need a little breather, I have a little wander around and find some new curiosities.
I have a busy life outside of work what with having a young family, being Chair of Governors at a local infant school and an active member of Basingstoke Round Table (you might spot us raising money with Santa each December!).
Right now I have BBC 6Music on in the background and they’re doing a ‘deep dive into 1991’!
Curious.
So there you go. Thanks Jamie. If we see someone bobbing their head to Chesney Hawkes, we’ll know it’s you.
