At Desklodge, we strongly believe that where you work affects how you work. Our founder, Tom Ball, was struck by inspiration when Google opened its new office in 2003 in London, which was filled with unusual and eccentric workspaces. He saw how this new way of working increased their employee’s creativity and productivity and thought ‘why can't we all work in an office like this?’ And so, DeskLodge was born. The concept of inspiring productivity through imaginative workspaces has stayed the same since the first DeskLodge opened its doors, back in 2012.
DeskLodge will always be a home-from-home workplace. Being a place where everyone is welcome is something we’re proud of but always working on, too.
Whether it’s a friendly hello, the smell of freshly brewed coffee or the promise of an after-work social, an upbeat atmosphere is what DeskLodgers love and need to do their best work.
We’re good at getting stuff done, fast and we make sure the important things are taken care of, like fully functioning work zones, decent internet and a choice of flexible membership options.
The first DeskLodge opened its doors in Kings Cross, London.
Our Bristol Old Market location was next to welcome DeskLodgers.
And the winner is...DeskLodge, at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. (Champagne may have been consumed afterwards.)
We opened our Basingstoke location as an alternative to working in the Big Smoke.
We super-sized things with Bristol Temple Meads – our biggest space yet.
We’ve got more plans for more locations across the UK. Watch this (work)space.
