It’s time to celebrate more of our lovely DeskLodgers in our DeskLodger of the Month series! Each month we choose one DeskLodger from each location to find out what they do and why they choose to work from DeskLodge.
Today we are introducing the lovely Zoë Monk, a hotdesker at DeskLodge Old Market!
Zoe is a graphic and web designer for the design agency, Mono Studio and is also a hotdesker at DeskLodge Old Market. Zoe can often be found getting involved at the many DeskLodge social events and likes long walks, arts and crafts (including jewellery making) and strives to find the perfect Sunday roast in Bristol.
How you use DeskLodge?
I hotdesk for a couple of days a week but it’s pretty flexible, so I sometimes swap those days about a bit. It’s great having somewhere to come to work when I’m splitting my time between Bristol and the office, which is based outside of the city.
What do Mono Studio do?
We’re a fun little design agency who help our clients with their branding across a range of medium.
We tackle any forward-facing creative; whether that’s company branding, design of print for marketing/exhibition/signage or bespoke web design and build - amongst other things! Mono Studios are hoping to start running marketing/branding workshops in the new year.
How long have you been coming to Desklodge?
Two years and nearing four months! Crikey!
What is your favourite thing about your job?
As everything seems to be created digitally these days, I really love the initial concept process when starting a new project as it allows me to get my pens and paper out for a change
What is your favourite thing about DeskLodge?
Not sure I can pick just one thing…..I love the atmosphere and the spaces but mainly all the lovely people I’ve met - and continue to meet. I still go out of my way to come to the Old Market location, even though I live two minutes’ walk away from Desklodge House!
What do you do in your spare time?
Weekend walks around the harbour and beyond, continuing the search to find the perfect Sunday roast (there are a few contenders already…), faffing about with arts and crafts, plus the odd festival here and there.
What is your favourite thing about the festive season?
MULLED WINE (and mince pies).
Thanks Zoe, Happy Holidays!
