The Bristol and South West tech industry is currently booming and we’re all aware that finding talent and keeping them has never been so difficult. We also know that careers change, people can learn and there’s a wealth of amazing people in the area who simply didn’t take up tech as an option. That, along with a variety of Universities, Colleges and training establishments in the area all creating talented tech graduates who we would love to stay in the region.
With all of this in mind we decided that we could help sort out some of these problems by working together so with HBB, WTHub and Desklodge we came up with the power of three, set out to curate a Careers Fair and named it Tech³Shed (everything is Bristol is called Shed so we thought we may as well follow the trend!).

The Growth Hub in-residence days are a drop-in service, giving you the opportunity to talk to our team in local business communities. You can talk to us about your journey so far, your ambitions, the challenges you're currently facing and any support you require to grow your business.
You set the time-frame. These appointments can be anything from 5-45 minutes depending on your needs. Some businesses approach us with quick questions; others wish to discuss their business models, overarching strategy and look for us to provide a more in-depth package of support. You set the agenda, and we’ll respond to your needs.
If you don’t have time to speak to us on the day, please pop by and leave a card. We’re available for telephone appointments on week days and can arrange a time to suit you.
If you’re keen to catch us and would like to secure a set slot please email: email@example.com
You are invited to an intimate lunch with Bretton Putter and other leaders of growing businesses to discuss the impact of culture on growth.
Building a culture that scales relies on a strong set of clearly articulated values. As you scale, your company starts to move away from a set of talented individuals and into groups of talented individuals, who have shared assumptions with which to solve problems. As a founder, your reliance on your team’s ability to make decisions when you’re out of the room can be the difference between success and failure.
As your company develops, so will your culture. Codifying your culture will not only provide your team with tools for decision making. It will ensure you thrive in new markets and help you attract and hire top talent.
In this session, Brett will share the unique approaches he has developed for building a strong culture. You’ll walk away with:
Practical tools to clearly articulate your values - translating your vision and mission from words into actions.
A framework for values based hiring and decision making, so that your team can begin to live your company values.
Bio: Brett Putter is a leading expert on startup and high-growth company culture.
