LCSW Business Breakfast; The Journey to Carbon Neutrality

Low Carbon South West are really excited to be welcoming Nikki Jones & James Sterling to co-deliver this month's business breakfast event on the topic of "Our Journey to Carbon Neutrality".

Nikki Jones MSc Freelance Researcher/Writer will open with an overview of the current scientific consensus and the risks posed by our warming world. She will present the facts and figures and put the decarbonisation challenge in perspective and then go on to discuss the challenges for the UK and where current government policy is leading us.

James Sterling Senior Marketing and Communications, Bristol City Council, will then follow with a discussion on Bristol's journey to carbon neutrality, opening with some context setting in relation to the scale of the issues in the city and actions that have been taken to address this. He will then outline the opportunities presented by City Leap; the local authority's prospectus on how they intend to meet their climate change ambitions.
