We’re knocking on the door to December, believe it or not. And that means that the countdown to Christmas has well and truly begun! It’s time to grab your diary and start planning your Christmassy treats. Luckily, Bristol can’t move for festive fun – so allow us to bring you the highlights.

Looking for an authentic festive market? Look no further than Bristol City Centre. It’s home to over 35 unique stalls, selling seasonal delights, crafts and unique goodies. You’ll get the chance to grab delicious food and drink, enjoy some live music and soak up the yuletide atmosphere! Father Christmas at the Bristol Beacon

See Raymond Briggs’ classic film Father Christmas brought to life like never before, complete with live music from the sensational Mozart Symphony Orchestra. Oh yes, and if that wasn’t magical enough, the performance will begin with performances of The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child. It’s time to turn Christmas up to 11. Book tickets here.

There’s nothing quite like popping a Christmas wreath on your front door to get into the festive spirit. And it means even more if you’ve made that wreath yourself. Pop along to Ollie Quinn on Park Street and enjoy designing and creating your own masterpiece. All the tools and materials are provided, along with a few refreshments to help your creativity flow. Panto time!

Ready for some high-flying adventure? Make way for Peter Pan, the Christmas panto at The Hippodrome, running from 2nd December. From amazing special effects to colourful costumes, from great sets to not-so-great jokes, it’s all here. It’s even got TV’s Poirot David Suchet in it as Captain Hook! Christmas starts now. Well, we’ve tracked down Father C and we know he’s going to be at Ashton Court Mansion from the 3rd of December. You’ll enjoy a fun, interactive tour through the beautiful Victorian Manor House before grabbing a few minutes – and a photo– with Mr Claus! We can’t wait! Get your tickets.
