What does Tate do?
Tate are an office specialist recruitment solutions business that work with local clients and candidates across Marketing, HR, Finance and all Business Operations and support. The Basingstoke and Reading team utilise the space at DeskLodge and whilst we offer a friendly and approachable local service here, we are part of the worlds largest staffing business, The Impellam Group.
What is the best thing about your job?
The thing that keeps me going is the people – both my team and the clients and candidates that we work with. My favourite thing is changing people’s views of what recruiters are like and how we can work with you. We are very down to earth, consultative and frank in our approach and I find this often takes people by surprise. Honestly though, this is how we get the very best results and really build real relationships with our partners and candidates. It’s these relationships that make my job enjoyable!
How do you stay motivated and productive?
Working in Desklodge!!!! Being around other people in other jobs working for other companies is not only interesting but also helps us to keep focused on what we have to do! Not being at home in the company of a 2 year old also helps!!!
Where is your favourite place to work at DeskLodge?
Upstairs in the shared workspace, it’s a bit more cosy up there!
What's the most valuable piece of advice you've been given in work/business?
Know yourself and what you can deliver – if someone wants you to do something a different way to what you know works for you and the market, then you might not be compatible to work with them. Be true to yourself because great people to work with value authenticity above anything else.
What do you do in your spare time?
Spending time with my wife and 2 Year old and all the fun that comes with that. Being with family, cooking, baking and playing netball!
